Christensen & Co Architects has proved that interesting architecture and care for the environment go hand in hand. With green solutions at the core of each project, the firm sought to revolutionise the way educational institutions work with Matrix-like structures. One of their major projects, the Green Lighthouse, became Denmark’s first CO2-neutral public building and home to the Faculty of Science at the University of Copenhagen. Its unique architectural design resulted in a 70 per cent reduction in energy consumption – but it was only the beginning.
