Danvik Folkehøgskole is an excellent example of how the Nordic folkehøgskole tradition helps young people get ready for the future. In addition to promoting important life skills and Christian values, the Norwegian boarding school has built a solid reputation by giving students a foot in the door of an increasingly competitive media industry. “Students usually have to be able to point to some media production when they apply for higher education – not just grades. We teach them how to create both in theory and in practice,” affirms headmaster Willy Mangersnes.
