These days, many people are using self-monitoring devices such as smart watches and other wearables to monitor heart rate and stress levels. By using the data accumulated through this technology as a source for diagnostics and prevention of illnesses, Heart2Save aims to save lives. “Our clinical research confirms that the accuracy of wearable data is close enough to the medical devices used in hospitals,” says Jäntti. “Heart2Save has developed a diagnostic service – DaaS– where we can take data from current wearables and analyse it in our cloud service. Arrhythmia is a major cause of stroke, and by detecting it early enough we can prevent stroke – or even death.”
