Italian Carlo Liberati left his home in the south of Rome 25 years ago to move to Jutland with his Danish wife. Despite splitting up with his wife, the 49-year-old has never regretted his decision to move to the north where he has made a name for himself running several restaurants, including the popular Il Mulino. Two years ago, he opened La Locanda, an authentic Italian restaurant loved by locals, tourists and professional food critics alike. “I think the best way to describe our kitchen is that it is as close to original Italian cuisine as you can possibly get – of course updated a bit to suit modern times.
