The Riddu Riddu Festival takes place in the northern region of Troms, in the Gáivuotna-Kåfjord Municipality. In its 26 years of existence, the festival has grown from a small revival of local Sami youth, to become an important international arena for new friendships and a deeper understanding of the indigenous people of the world today. Riddu Riddu is created for and by Sami cultural leaders and artists in the multi-disciplinary genres of contemporary indigenous arts. An important part of the local culture, it brings people together from all around the world.
