Overlooking the beautiful Trondheim city in the heart of Norway, the historic museum is open all year with a vast programme of historic and cultural events. “This year, our main exhibition is part of the year-long celebration marking the 100 years that have passed since the first congress for the Sami people, where we showcase unique Sami arts and crafts,” says Torunn Herje, director of Sverresborg Trøndelag Folkemuseum. In the summer season, between mid-June and mid-August, the museum evolves into a dynamic and lively haven with a range of activities for all ages, but perhaps with a special emphasis on the younger population.
