Founded in what was then Christiania (Oslo) by goldsmith David Andersen after completing his apprenticeship in Norway and gaining experience in London, David-Andersen Gullsmed was established with a vision to unite traditional goldsmithing with new production techniques, making high-quality Norwegian jewellery more widely accessible without compromising on craftsmanship. Over six generations, that vision has evolved into one of Norway’s most respected jewellery houses, renowned for its design legacy, enamel artistry and enduring commitment to quality.

Today, David-Andersen offers an extensive universe of jewellery and services. Alongside its own collections, the company creates bespoke pieces, restores and remodels treasured heirlooms and curates a selection of leading international jewellery brands.

Yet at its heart remains a working goldsmith’s workshop, where traditional techniques continue to shape jewellery made to last for generations. “Our role is to continue David-Andersen’s design heritage while creating jewellery that feels relevant and contemporary for today’s customers,” says creative director Sophie Vanay.
