Opening in northern Finland in December 2026, Arcora Boutique Hotel & Villas brings together refined accommodation, private villas, dining, wellness and guided Arctic experiences in the lakeside village of Torassieppi. Owned by Harriniva Hotels & Safaris, a family-run travel company since 1973, the aim is not simply to offer accommodation, but a complete luxury experience built around Lapland’s nature, silence, purity and Arctic atmosphere.

Arcora Boutique Hotel & Villas is located in Torassieppi, about 17 kilometres from the centre of Muonio and close to Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park. The Arcora concept combines boutique suites, private villas, a restaurant led by an award-winning chef, an artisan bakery and wellness facilities. “Our aim is not simply to offer accommodation, but a complete luxury experience built around Lapland’s nature, silence, purity and local character,” says Joonas Saarinen, head of marketing at Harriniva.

A destination built around nature

Lapland’s nature will be at the heart of Arcora, with the fells of Lapland surrounding the property and Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park nearby. During winter, visitors can enjoy reindeer safaris, husky tours, snowmobiling and snowshoeing, while summer brings hiking, swimming in quiet lakes, sauna and the midnight sun. As Saarinen puts it, these are all ways to connect with the local way of life.

Calm Nordic design and a relaxed atmosphere guide the interiors at Arcora Boutique Hotel and its villas. Details are carefully considered, from soft textiles and lighting to a strong connection with the surrounding natural landscape. The aim, Saarinen says, is to create private, peaceful spaces. “We want guests to be able to experience Lapland’s nature up close while enjoying complete comfort.

Arcora will be suitable for anyone looking for a refined and quietly luxurious experience in Lapland – couples, friends, families and travellers who value privacy.” Accommodation includes floor-to-ceiling windows with views into the Nordic landscape. Selected suites and villas include private saunas, while all accommodation features refined Nordic design, premium amenities and Arctic gear for different activities. Most guided experiences can begin directly at or near the resort, with selected excursions arranged with a short transfer.

Dining shaped by Lapland’s seasons

Arcora’s culinary offering will also open in December 2026, led by acclaimed Finnish chef Arto Rastas. Inspired by local northern ingredients and craftsmanship, the dining options will include Arcora Lobby Bar & Bakery, serving freshly baked artisan breads and pastries, Pyry Champagne Bar, overlooking the surrounding landscape and forests, and Restaurant 8, the main restaurant concept inspired by Lapland’s eight seasons. “The aim is to create a restaurant experience that is an essential part of Arcora’s luxury concept, not simply an additional hotel service,” says Saarinen.

An escape from urban life

Arcora’s location is part of its appeal. Set in Torassieppi in Muonio, north of the Arctic Circle, the hotel can be reached via Kittilä Airport, about 50 minutes away by car, or Enontekiö Arctic Airport in Hetta, around an hour’s drive. Its distance from larger towns is not a drawback, Saarinen says, but central to the experience: a place where guests can encounter the way of life in the fells of Lapland, the history of reindeer herding, local nature and the rhythm of the Arctic seasons. “The cultural strength of the area lies in its heritage, relationship with nature and peaceful surroundings,” he says.

The hotel and villas are designed for international and domestic luxury travellers seeking privacy, tranquillity, high-quality accommodation and a complete Lapland experience. Guests are expected to arrive from around the world to experience Lapland’s nature. “The UK is an especially important market for Lapland travel, and Arcora will appeal to travellers looking for a high-end alternative to more traditional luxury destinations,” says Saarinen.

In the future, the goal is to build Arcora into one of Lapland’s most distinctive resorts – a place where international and domestic guests can experience Lapland’s nature, silence and seasons in a refined way, while remaining genuinely connected to the local environment.
