Perched by the stunning UNESCO-listed landscape of Møns Klint, Ellevilde Boutique Hotel offers a haven of stillness, flavour and thoughtful hospitality. Guests come for the sweeping views towards the island’s coastline and stay for the gently restorative rhythm of the place. With personal service at its heart, the hotel offers an experience shaped as much by its setting as by the newly relocated couple who bring it all to life with popular culinary delights and sauna sessions.
“We hope to share with our guests the same stillness and beauty that we have found here,” says Kirstine Ellegaard, co-owner of Ellevilde Boutique Hotel.
At the beginning of 2025, Kirstine and her husband, Kenneth Ellegaard, moved from Greve to Møn with their three children, exchanging a hectic daily routine for a place that instantly felt full of possibility. “The quiet, the nature, the views to both sides of the water – we immediately saw that we could create something special here,” Kirstine recalls.

On top of the sweeping views across the landscape, the former country house had exactly the right size, facilities and calm, unpolished charm the couple needed to fulfil their vision of the perfect personal hospitality.
Having headed the successful restaurant 56° in Copenhagen for 16 years, Kenneth has crafted a highly popular culinary concept for the hotel, balancing simplicity and intention. Working closely with a neighbouring grower, the kitchen builds each day’s dish on whatever is freshly harvested. “It’s very straightforward,” Kirstine says. “We cook for the guests who sign up, we use what grows here, and we keep it sustainable and organic.”

Although initially uncertain about offering only one set dish of the day, their doubts faded quickly; once guests tasted it, they tended to return every evening, and the question became how many outside bookings they could accommodate.
Another successful initiative has been the addition of a sauna to the property. Kenneth, also a trained sauna master, creates gus (heat and aromatherapy sessions) that draw on local scents, sounds and seasonal notes. And after a winter walk along the dramatic chalk cliffs or quiet hours under the dark winter sky of Møn – a designated Dark Sky park – what could be more enchanting than the warmth of the sauna or a tea by the fireside inside.
No wonder, both visitors and locals are already in love. As Kirstine puts it: “Even just a couple of days here are enough for people to feel completely reset.”
