Estonia-based company ETNIKA HOME creates design-led retreats for buyers who want a lifestyle shaped by freedom, nature and contemporary architecture, rather than just a place to stay. As Rasmus Hirtentreu, founder of ETNIKA HOME, puts it: “Our initial idea was to develop unique architectural products that could serve both as private retreats and as the foundation for premium nature resorts.” Since the company foundation, this idea has flourished into a tangible lifestyle brand centred around freedom, nature and contemporary architecture, all brought together by the company philosophy of ‘Living Wild & Free’.

At the centre of that philosophy stands ETNIKA ANANTARA, the brand’s original concept and flagship glass house. Designed without boundaries between indoors and outdoors, ANANTARA uses floor-to-ceiling glazing to create a striking sense of immersion in nature while still maintaining privacy and premium comfort. Spacious planning, clean architectural lines and refined finishes make it feel less like a tiny house and more like a high-design retreat.

Its appeal lies not only in appearance, but in performance as sustainability is a core value for ETNIKA HOME. In ANANTARA that translates into high-performance insulation, triple-glazed glass and modern heating and cooling systems that minimise energy use while maximising year-round comfort. “ANANTARA occupies the premium end of the tiny-house market, combining striking architecture with high-end comfort and performance,” says Hirtentreu. “It’s therefore usually called the ‘Lamborghini of tiny houses’.”

For buyers, ANANTARA offers flexibility as well as presence. The house is assembled on-site in a range of settings, from private land and forest plots to waterfront locations, resort destinations and tourism developments, which allows for greater customisation options that are subject to local planning rules, site access and utility connections. As a turnkey solution, with a living area of approximately 50 square metres, it is priced at around 200,000 euro plus transportation.

ETNIKA HOME now complements their first flagship product with ETNIKA ZEN, a smaller and more accessible house. Delivered as a single-piece unit for efficient installation, ZEN brings a distinctly Scandinavian atmosphere to compact living and proves that a modest footprint can still feel generous when the planning is smart. Developed alongside architects and built from cross-laminated timber and high-quality Estonian wood, ZEN reflects the brand’s more natural, pared-back approach to sustainability. The result is a durable, environmentally conscious cabin with a low footprint that has all the necessary amenities for comfortable living.

ZEN is also available as a cosy wooden sauna cabin, combining a sauna, washroom and relaxation area within one compact and beautifully designed building. Built from sustainable timber and natural materials, it offers an authentic and eco-friendly wellness experience that embraces the traditions of Nordic sauna culture. A warm wooden interior and fireplace create the perfect setting for relaxation and year-round enjoyment.

Like ANANTARA, ZEN can be placed in a wide variety of locations, with local regulations and connections determining the final setup. In Estonia, due to its size, it can even be built without a traditional building permit. Delivered as a complete unit, the turnkey solution starts at approximately 50,000 euro plus transportation for a living space of 19.9 square metres, giving a different customer segment access to an ETNIKA HOME.

A key part of the proposition is that buyers do not have to imagine the concept from afar. ETNIKA HOME’s holiday homes in Estonia, beside the Baltic Sea, serve as demonstration houses. Through the company’s website, visitors can easily book a stay using an interactive calendar and experience ETNIKA HOME products in a real-life setting before making an ownership decision.

Looking ahead, ETNIKA HOME aims to expand beyond private ownership by partnering with investors, landowners and hospitality operators to develop ETNIKA Resorts – distinctive nature-based destinations and hospitality concepts across Europe, built around the company’s lifestyle philosophy and architectural concepts.
