At the centre of the story is Kiki Feroudi Moutsatsos, who co-founded La Perla with George Moutsatsos. Known also as the former personal secretary to Aristotle Onassis and author of The Onassis Women, she helped shape the property into the destination it is today. Part of La Perla’s appeal lies in the way it wears its luxury lightly. The property is carved into Santorini’s caldera cliffs, embracing the island’s traditional cave-house architecture while introducing contemporary comfort and a quiet, elegant design language. Officially recognised by the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) as a traditional building, it reflects the island’s architectural heritage in a refined, modern way.
