Crystal-clear water, white sails, breakfast in the sunshine? All undeniably compelling, but what guests on More Sailing’s trips appreciate most is the shared experience with other people. Unforgettable adventures at sea await in the Mediterranean, the Caribbean and along Sweden’s west coast.
With the vision of providing memorable experiences for guests on sailing trips around the world, More Sailing was founded in 2009 by two passionate sailors: Einar Halldin and Malin Stom. “Our founders went on a sailing trip to Croatia with family and friends, and the idea for More Sailing was born,” says Zanna Bäckman, marketing manager. “They wanted to make sailing accessible and let more people experience freedom at sea.”

Driven by a passion to fulfil dreams, build relationships and spread joy, More Sailing now organises relaxing holidays in Croatia, Greece, Italy, the Caribbean and along Sweden’s west coast. “Regardless of destination, we take care of the planning, sailing and cooking – so that you can relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings, picturesque villages and lovely beaches,” explains Bäckman.
More Sailing has an impressive 4.9 rating on Google, and one of the reasons for the high score is the food. “Our staff on board cook food with fresh ingredients from the destinations – often sourced from local markets, which is appreciated by our guests,” says Bäckman. “Breakfast, lunch and snacks are served with passion and care. Freshly baked bread in the morning means more than you might think, and anyone who has travelled with us knows exactly what we mean.” In the evenings, guests often go ashore for dinner, devouring delicacies in lively Greek tavernas, cosy Croatian konobas, and authentic Swedish fish restaurants.

Destinations to discover at sea
The Mediterranean is fantastic for sailing trips, with the season stretching from early spring to late autumn. Croatia is one of Europe’s most beautiful sailing paradises, as the founders themselves discovered years ago. Thousands of islands and historic coastal towns make the area a perfect destination to explore at sea. “The Mediterranean is already filling up for 2027, so we’re adding more boats to make room for everyone who wants to come along,” says Bäckman.
Greece is an incredible sailing destination too, with one of the longest coastlines in Europe. Imagine hidden coves with azure waters, white beaches and plunging limestone cliffs, lively port towns with cosy tavernas, and a Greek pace that makes your shoulders drop. And a sailing trip in Italy combines relaxation and activities in the fabulous archipelago of La Maddalena.

Meanwhile, the Swedish west coast offers a sailing idyll that flourishes in summer. Here you will find well-preserved fishing communities, pristine islets and skerries with crystal-clear waters and local fish restaurants that make the area a delightful destination to discover at sea.
The Caribbean is one of the world’s most beautiful sailing destinations and consists of a string of islands, for instance Tobago Cays with its coral reefs and sea turtles. Expect rocking reggae, swaying palm trees, turquoise waters, white beaches and hospitable locals. “We’ve extended our Caribbean season, which now runs from October all the way into early April,” says Bäckman. “Our catamaran Ingrid is based here throughout the season, and a second catamaran arrives in December, so we can welcome twice as many guests. It’s amazing to see the demand – lots of people want to travel here in 2027.”

Private, senior and solo sailing trips
Families, groups of friends and companies can also book a private sailing trip – the whole boat, the whole week, all yours. You choose who comes along, and More Sailing takes care of all the practicalities, so that you can focus on each other. “Private trips have become really popular,” says Bäckman. “Many of our guests have never been on this type of trip, but once they try it, they get hooked!”
More Sailing also organises senior sailing trips, tailored for those in later middle age and beyond who want to sail with like-minded travellers, enjoy beautiful environments and life at sea on a sailboat. These trips usually take place during the early and late season when there are fewer tourists, temperatures are more pleasant and the ports are calmer.
A solo sailing trip is a great way to discover the world with like-minded travellers. During these social, relaxed and active trips, you will make new friends, have amazing experiences and make memories to last a lifetime. “Sailing trips are for everyone,” adds the marketing manager. “Our solo trips are tailored for those who travel alone and want to meet like-minded travellers, discover new places and enjoy total relaxation.” As with all More Sailing trips, no previous sailing experience is needed as the certified skipper and host take care of everything – from route planning to sailing and cooking. Your job is just to sit back and enjoy the journey.
