With the vision of providing memorable experiences for guests on sailing trips around the world, More Sailing was founded in 2009 by two passionate sailors: Einar Halldin and Malin Stom. “Our founders went on a sailing trip to Croatia with family and friends, and the idea for More Sailing was born,” says Zanna Bäckman, web and content manager. “They wanted to make sailing accessible and let more people experience freedom at sea.”

Driven by a passion to fulfil dreams, build relations and spread joy, More Sailing now organises relaxing holidays in Croatia, Greece, Italy, the Caribbean and along Sweden’s west coast. “Regardless of destination, we take care of the planning, sailing and cooking – so that you can relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings, picturesque villages and lovely beaches,” explains Bäckman.

More Sailing has an impressive 4.9 in Google reviews, and one of the reasons for the high score is the food. “Our staff onboard cook food with fresh ingredients from the destinations – often found at local markets, which is appreciated by our guests,” says Bäckman. “Breakfast, lunch and snacks are served with passion and care. Freshly baked bread in the morning means more than you might think, and anyone who has travelled with us knows exactly what we mean.” In the evenings, guests often go ashore for dinner, discovering local delicacies in lively Greek tavernas, cosy Croatian konobas, and authentic Swedish fish restaurants.

The Mediterranean is fantastic for sailing trips, with the season stretching from early spring to late autumn. Croatia is one of Europe’s most beautiful sailing paradises, as the founders themselves discovered years ago. Thousands of islands and historic coastal towns make the area a perfect destination to explore at sea.

Greece is an incredible sailing destination too, with one of the longest coastlines in Europe. Imagine hidden coves with azure waters, white beaches and plunging limestone cliffs, lively port towns with cosy tavernas, and a Greek pace that makes your shoulders drop. And a sailing trip in Italy combines relaxation and activities in the fabulous archipelago of La Maddalena.

Meanwhile, the Swedish west coast offers a sailing idyll that flourishes in summer. Here you will find well-preserved fishing communities, pristine islets and skerries with crystal-clear waters and local fish restaurants that make the area a delightful destination to discover at sea.

This winter, More Sailing also has a boat in the Caribbean, so you can extend your summer well into the high season there. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is one of the world’s most beautiful sailing destinations and consists of a string of islands, for instance Tobago Cays with its coral reefs and sea turtles. Senior, solo and private sailing trips

More Sailing also organises senior sailing trips, tailored for those in upper middle age and older who want to sail with like-minded travellers, enjoy beautiful environments and life at sea on a sailboat. These trips usually take place during the early and late season when there are fewer tourists, temperatures are more pleasant and the ports are calmer.

A solo sailing trip is a great way to discover the world with like-minded travellers. During these social, relaxed and active trips you will make new friends, have amazing experiences and get memories to last a lifetime. “Our solo sailing trips are tailored for those of you who travel alone and want to meet like-minded travellers, discover new places and enjoy total relaxation,” says the web and content manager.

Families and groups can also book an all-inclusive, private sailing trip. You book the entire boat and choose your own company, whilst More Sailing takes care of navigation, planning, food and all the practicalities – so you can focus on each other.

“Sailing trips are for everyone,” adds Bäckman. “Many of our guests have never been on a sailing trip, but once they try it, they get hooked!” As with other More Sailing trips, you do not need any previous sailing experience as the certified skippers will take care of all the practicalities – from route planning to sailing. Your job is just to sit back and enjoy the journey.
