NTEX: More than moving goods

Logistics is woven into almost every part of a business. How goods are stored, handled and delivered may influence costs, inventory, customer experience and, ultimately, performance. Finding the right logistics partner, therefore, means more than ensuring reliable deliveries; it also requires the expertise and flexibility to keep the wider operation running smoothly. For NTEX, it starts with understanding the business behind the goods.
“Logistics is ultimately about trust,” says Tobias Rindevall, CCO at NTEX. “We need to understand more than just how a product is transported from A to B. We need to understand the customer’s business.”
Founded in 2003, NTEX has grown into one of Scandinavia’s largest privately owned logistics companies without losing its close customer relationships. Today, its offering extends beyond road transport to sea and air freight, warehousing and 3PL, terminal services, customs clearance and integrated logistics solutions.

For Kristin Johansen Furuseth, sales manager in Norway, that means looking beyond the individual shipment. “We should understand what the customer is trying to achieve and what they need from us,” she explains. “We need to dare to ask questions and sometimes suggest a different solution than the one the customer originally requested.”
That could mean rethinking warehousing and transport, combining transport modes or improving the wider flow of goods. The aim is to create value across the supply chain, not just to optimise a single shipment.
Today, customers increasingly expect transparency, traceability, digital solutions and flexibility, while global uncertainty has made resilient supply chains more important. They also need a logistics partner that can respond quickly and find solutions when things do not go according to plan. Technology is helping NTEX respond through integrated systems, real-time data and automated information flows.

Sustainability is part of that equation too. By improving capacity utilisation, reducing unnecessary kilometres and choosing the right combination of road, sea and rail, NTEX aims to make logistics more efficient and sustainable. However, meaningful progress requires commitment from both sides. NTEX can develop and offer more sustainable solutions, but customers must be willing to take that step with them.
Yet as technology and services expand, NTEX believes that the human side must remain at the centre. “Even though NTEX has become a large organisation, it’s still possible to reach people who know the customer and actually take responsibility,” says Furuseth. “We never want to lose that.”
For Rindevall, this combination of scale, expertise and personal responsibility is what makes the company stand out. The philosophy behind it all can be summed up in five simple words: “We care. All the way.”
