“Whether you’re coming for a family holiday, organising a small-scale conference, a business meeting, a team building activity or a course, or perhaps a workation for yourself, this is a relaxing and sustainable alternative,” says Madeleine Person, who runs Näs Gård. “We have everything you need and we can rearrange the rooms, including our versatile loft space, depending on the setup you need.”

At your own pace, you can explore the area or just enjoy the privacy and stillness of the large property, which also encompasses the lake, forest trails and a viewpoint on a nearby hill. In summer, you can experience the magic of the bright summer nights. By the lake, you can go for a swim or try activities such as canoeing or fishing, just a hundred metres from the cottages. “Guests appreciate the mix of privacy, nature and simplicity here,” says Person. “The peace and quiet does something to you; this is like a digital detox, slow travel at its best.”

Näs Gård is located just a few kilometres from the landmark High Coast Bridge, where you can enjoy the view at the restaurant or set off on one of Sweden’s signature hiking trails. Ony 30 minutes away, you will find the regional capital Härnösand, with northern Sweden’s highest ranked beach, as well as museums, spa, golf, boat trips, local shows, concerts, and more.

For culinary excursions, visit Fiskafänget in the old fishing village Norrfällsviken, Gårdsbutiken in Nordingrå or Björkudden, only minutes away, all serving treats made from local produce. “Even though a stay here is on a self-catering basis, we often leave freshly-baked bread and locally made marmalade and cheese for guests when they arrive,” adds Person.
