Just a short journey from Stockholm’s hustle and bustle, the charming boutique hotel Siggesta Gård is surrounded by forests and fields – perfect for a relaxing summer weekend, culinary experiences with produce from its own garden, and fruitful meetings by the sea.

Siggesta Gård is a great countryside destination in Värmdö, which is part of the Stockholm archipelago, where nature defines the experience. “When coming here, you will experience the Swedish countryside. Nature is not just a backdrop, it’s the real thing,” says Lisa Guldvarg, marketing director. “Staying at our small boutique hotel, surrounded by lush forests and fields, will make your shoulders drop – this is a destination to truly unwind, relax and feel inspired.”

Rural charm meets modern comfort in the hotel, with individually decorated rooms featuring warm, rustic aesthetics with natural materials that blend beautifully with the landscape outside the window. Siggesta Gård is popular for conferences, where meaningful conversations flourish when the pace slows down. Unsurprisingly, it is also a popular venue for summer parties, weddings and private celebrations.

In the impressive kitchen garden, covering some 1,500 square metres, the team grows and harvests over a ton of vegetables that end up on the plates at Restaurang Ladugården, Siggesta Gård’s rustic and cosy restaurant. The food reflects the character of the farm and the changing seasons dictate the menu. “We use as much locally produced and sustainable ingredients as possible, preferably from our own farm and from producers in the surrounding area,” says Guldvarg. “Bread and pastries are often baked in our own bakery to give the meal that little something extra.”

The lush Orangery tempts with delicious sandwiches, soup and homemade pastries, while a food truck and an ice-cream & sweet shop add to the experience. This summer, Siggesta Gård also welcomes Dahlia District, a new flower farm created by Hanna Borg, a local Värmdö resident. where guests can stroll among the flowers and pick their own bouquets.

Being located in the archipelago, the hotel offers plenty of outdoor activities, including canoeing, cycling, paddling, hiking, adventure golf, and a forest obstacle course, just to mention a few. The hotel is also family-friendly, with plenty of space for children to run around. At the farm, guests can get up close to the animals, including feeding the alpacas. By the edge of the forest, Siggesta Gård also offers glamping for those who want a comfortable stay even closer to nature.
