The future of Nordic design can be found in the mountains of Norway. Nestled at the top of the valley above Rjukan in Telemark, the Gvepseborg Restaurant perches – majestic in its simplicity and incorporation into its environment. The new building forms a protective shell around a sheltered internal space, which in turn opens up a spectacular view of the town and the Gaustatoppen mountain peak. When looking up at the structure from the town, you see a warm point of light high above the valley.
