“We are located in the outer harbour, 12 kilometres from the city centre. It is a nice contrast when you arrive and can walk out on the rocks to look at the ocean. That’s probably not what you expect on the way here,” says Maria Botéus, hotel manager at Arken Hotel & Art Garden Spa. The spa has plenty of room for you to unwind, such as in the orangery on level two, where you can lay back on a bamboo bed and enjoy the surroundings. There are no full-sized swimming pools, but instead you can soak in hot springs, try the steam room and ice scrub or relax in a cinnamon-scented sauna or outdoor saunas and a pool with a view.
