The hotel is located in northern Europe’s biggest ski resort, Åre, and on top of what a hundred years ago was a copper mine. “What makes it so special is the closeness to nature. You can even see reindeer on the mountain,” says marketing manager Sara Ekdahl. With ski slopes on one side, wilderness on the other and scenic views of Åre village, lake and mountain, it makes an unforgettable impression. The striking building stands out with its contemporary design developed by famous architect Peter Bohlin, the creator of Apple’s stores and the private mansion of Bill Gates.
