Swedish dairy farm Gäsene Mejeri is not only the sole producer of traditional Swedish household cheese in the nation, they are also a dairy cooperative working as locally as you can possibly imagine. Founded in 1931, it’s safe to say that Gäsene Mejeri doesn’t lack experience in the field – and today they are still producing their products where it all began. Cheese is a big part of the Swedish culinary tradition, and Swedes are massive Cheese consumers. Being both delicious and healthy, this is no surprise – and Gäsene Mejeri’s household cheese is certainly a delicious slice of Swedish food.
