Glass artist Heikki Viinikainen has 15 stitches on his finger. He was giving the final touches to one of his pieces of art when it suddenly broke in two and cut him. It was a deep cut. Glass is as merciless as it’s beautiful and the risk of glass breaking is constantly present when Heikki Viinikainen creates his pieces of art. Yet it’s that same uncertainty that makes his work unique, a material that allows you to see deep into another world of light and openness.
