Hotel Juelsminde Strand

“I’m a local boy,” restaurant manager turned hotel manager Alexander Mateev says with pride. “I grew up in this region and began my work as a waiter in the area.” Mateev went on to become restaurant manager at a large, well-known hotel in Aarhus before taking on Hotel Juelsminde Strand in 2015. “It’s a dream come true for me. I love the town and its people. The businesses work together very well and Juelsminde’s inhabitants take good care of our visitors.” Juelsminde Strand first opened in 1870 and has been part of the town ever since – first as an inn and later as a school.
