As the early morning fog rolls across the landscape of Rungstedlund, you are enveloped in a colourful cacophony of birdsong and serenity. it is not hard to imagine what it would be like to be a forward-thinking writer, penning masterpieces behind the doors of this regular residence that is now the Karen Blixen Museum. She was not only the author of Babette’s Feast, Out of Africa and many other works, she was also a talented painters. Karen Blixen’s life was marked by adventure, passion and a love of storytelling, but it was also full of hardship and disease.
