“With the dawn of the internet, everyone was thinking ‘great, now we’ll find new ways of invoicing and everything will become much easier!’. But instead of technology making everything easier, it made it more fragmented,” says Jeanette Samuelsson, CEO of Klever. “People get bills in different inboxes, even by text, and then you need to go home and check your physical letterbox as well before you start paying everything. We just thought it was bonkers that in 2017 we’re still doing things this way.” With a background as a property investor and co-founder of Fixura, Finland’s first peer-to-peer lending company, Samuelsson was ready for a new adventure.
