It takes only a few minutes’ conversation with Geir Jon Aarskog, manager of Stabbursdalen Resort, to realise that his mountain lodge is a place which rejoices in good stories. Tales of outdoor weddings overseen by the Northern Lights are plentiful, as are accounts of fruitful salmon rivers and rafting experiences for young and old. Oh, and did we mention that the lodge’s newly built chapel has been blessed by not one, but two Popes?
