The Maritime Museum of Denmark
There are some truly spectacular museums in the world, not only due to the items that are exhibited, but because of the beauty of the buildings themselves. Currently, one of Europe’s most breathtaking museums is located on the tip of Zealand in the town of Elsinore, Denmark. After outgrowing its original space within the beautiful castle of Kronborg, a UNESCO heritage site, the Maritime Museum moved into new buildings, an architectural wonder created by talented architects at Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG). What’s so special about it is its ship shape and stunning location in what formerly served as a dry dock.
