Half stylish furniture, half toy; the material, the design or the craftsmanship of the Rockingsheep has not changed from the first prototype created in Kjer’s workshop. Even today, every single Rockingsheep is assembled and finished by the 62-year-old wood carver himself. The quality, classic design and longevity are what make the Rockingsheep more than just a toy, he explains. “The first Rockingsheep I created has been handed down to my niece’s daughter, who is now nine years old. That’s what is so fantastic about it: it becomes a family heirloom and a reminder of special experiences and stories. What people tell me is that every time they look at it, it brings back memories from their childhood.”
