Brøndby Idrætsefterskole

Founded eight years ago in buildings previously belonging to Brøndy IF, Brøndby Idrætsefterskole has become known as one of the best Danish schools for young athletes. Behind the school’s success is a team of high-profile teachers as well as a strong focus on the psychology behind top performance. Students need to be dedicated to their sport but, most importantly, they need to be committed to their own development, explains principal Bo Palle Jensen. “Our founding idea is to teach young people to work towards a goal. That doesn’t mean you have to want to be the world number one at something; it’s about looking at where you are and what it will take to move to where you want to be.”
