Established in 1885, Hotel Hansson is one of Stockholm’s few remaining family-owned hotels. Originally set up next to a spring on Surbrunnsgatan 38, this was a popular spot for achieving health and wellness back in the olden days. Hotel manager Henry Freeland explains the significance of the location. “Traditionally, guests came here to drink water from the well down the street, spend a few nights at the hotel and get some well-deserved relaxation.” Nowadays, Hotel Hansson is a hotspot attracting guests from Sweden and around the world, who are still in need of a good night’s sleep but now in a more modern setting.
